PISTOL COURSES

Our Pistol Courses introduce students to the fundamentals of self defense as well as challenge experienced shooters alike. All courses are developed to train everyone from the first-time shooter all the way up to the experienced marksman on the skills required for self-defense shooting.

Guardian I
A13 Tactics | Guardian I

GUARDIAN I

OVERVIEW: Guardian I is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and the defensive use of a full-sized to compact-sized pistol. Students of all skill levels will improve their draw and pistol shooting skills through drills and exercises with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. Each student will leave feeling confident in their understanding of how a pistol functions and how to shoot it safely.

PREREQUISITES: None

1 DAY: 8 HRS

  • Handgun Maintenance

  • Types of Ammunition

  • Shooting Fundamentals

Guardian II

GUARDIAN II

OVERVIEW: This continuation of our Guardian series includes additional drills, a qualification course of fire, and live fire malfunction clearance drills. Beginning with an overview of the topics and fundamentals of marksmanship from Guardian I and move into more advanced drills. You will continue to improve your pistol handling skills while reinforcing the fundamentals of marksmanship. Timed drills will help you learn the balance between speed and accuracy.

PREREQUISITES: Guardian I

Concealed Carry

CONCEALED CARRY COURSES

Our Concealed Carry Courses cover critical concepts for concealed carry and lessons on how to safely and properly draw and present the pistol from concealed carry. Lecture includes safety brief, mindset presentation and garment considerations and garment clearing techniques to aid in your success rate during a self defense situation.

EDC Basics

EDC BASICS

OVERVIEW: EDC Basics will instill the skills necessary to safely carry, present and utilize proper handgun fundamentals from concealment. This course will combine various aspects of the Guardian I course with the added requisite of concealment. Various concealment systems and techniques will be discussed and demonstrated along with garment considerations and clearing techniques.

PREREQUISITES: None - This is not a state concealed carry permit course.

EDC RESPONSE +

OVERVIEW: This is not a basic course!  It is designed to give you the skills beyond your local CCW requirement.  You will learn to quickly and accurately engage threats, during practical and realistic conceal carry. Students will increase their accuracy and speed through efficiency and economy of motion. Topics include practical concealed carry, drawing from concealment, reloads, immediate action, barricades, flashlight techniques, moving and one-handed shooting.
